Silentworld Shipping and Logistics are proud to announce that we have now opened a branch in Brisbane. Our staff in Brisbane will receive cargo Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM and ship containers to the Solomon Islands every two week. Please see our contact page for more information.

In mid December 2014 the International Shipping Agency will be moving in to new large, bright, modern offices and warehouse in Savo Street, Point Cruz.

With the continuing growth of the agency, freight forwarding and customs clearance the new space will allow us to offer easy accessibility for our customers, de-vanning of containers and cargo storage.

We expect to be a bonded warehouse at the start of 2015 making for another exciting New Year for the Shipping Agency, as agents for Carpenters Shipping and Matons Shipping in Solomon Islands.

SW sponsors SIRUF – Solomon Island Rugby Union Federation

For the second year running Silentworld was the major sponsor of the Solomon Islands rugby union inter Island competition.

The competition was held in Honiara and ended in a tightly contested final on the 1st November with Western Province taking out the trophy and first prize money.

SW Logistics Support Election Watchdog

Silentworld recently assisted many members of the international observers to the Solomon Islands elections. The Silentworld logistics team organised and managed 9 observers for Human Resources Cardano, which had observers located in far reaches such as Lata in Santa Cruz.

Silentworld’s vessel Solomon Star also transported and accommodated 14 international observers to Aulki in Malita province in association with the Australian High commission.

The vessel remained in Aulki for 2 days providing much need respite and accommodation for the party. It was a very international flavour with representatives from the EU, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and the USA. ”

SASAPE introduces new blast machinery

Sasape International Ship Yard limited (owned 75% by Silentworld) announces the arrival of it new 40 000 psi water blast unit.

The unit will enable vessels to be blasted back to bare metal prior to painting. This is the only unit of its type in the Solomons and will revolutionise the blast and paint process involved in ship repairs and maintenance.

New Noro Shipping Base

Silentworld is proud to announce the opening of its new shipping base in Noro western province.

The base will facilitate the collection of back load cargo from the area long with acting as a fuel distribution hub.

The base will carry supplies of both ULP and diesel fuels.

The base will be manned and ready to receive cargo from Monday to Friday 8.30am till 4.30pm and Saturday from 9am till 12 Noon.

The base is located on the North point of the Noro international wharf with easy access from both the shore and road.
